
โ๏ธ The Commerce Guild's Midsummer Festival โ๏ธ
(Technically Sunsong but it's still the middle of summer so it counts)
The Commerce Guild (Sebastian, specifically) is preparing a festival to allow critters to enjoy some merriment after all the recent chaos! There will be fun and food to be had. Be sure to bring your coin, as vendors are greatly encouraged to join!
When?: Sunsong (July) 19th, likely around 7PM EST until ~11 PM.
(Backup date: July 26th, should anything come up.)
Where?: Quiet Cove, on the beach
๐What to expect? ๐
---๐ป Vendors ๐ป---
Critters who wish to vend are encouraged to show off their best wares, regardless of what their best may be. It's okay if it's not a masterwork or the most amazing, as long as you're proud of it. Vendors may sell what they bring to participants throughout the festival.
A 3x3 space -- nine items! -- will be available for whoever wishes to enter their wares in judging. These areas will be clearly sectioned off so they won't be mistaken for free goodies, especially if you plan to display food. Critters will be able to vote for whichever vendor has the items they like the most, and whoever has the most votes will win a grand prize.

Food and drink will be available throughout the event. Primarily cooked food will be provided, but roasted scrounge will be available for ascetic critters, as well as herbs for the herbivores.
---๐ผ Games ๐ผ---
โ๏ธ Hit the Dummy - Fighters will strike a dummy as hard as they can. Whoever does the most damage in a single strike wins!
You'll be given 5 chances to strike. The highest damage number between all 5 strikes is counted as your score. I.e, your 5 strikes do 8, 10, 9, 15, and 12 damage. 15 would be taken as your score. You can use whatever means at your disposal.
(Orange mages may have their own bracket... Lightning packs more of a punch than a sword.)
๐ Crystal Charging - Mages will be given a crystal to charge. Whoever can charge it the highest without it breaking wins!
Mages will be provided with a prismatic crystal to charge. Whoever is able to charge the crystal the highest without a potion and without breaking the crystal will win. The crystal's charge will need to be verified by another mage of the same color.
๐ Hide n' Seek - A classic game of hide n' seek in the woods! Hiders or seekers can win!
Participants will hide just south of Quiet Cove in Littlerock and Deepwoods. Seekers will randomly be chosen, and the number of seekers will be determined by the amount of participants. Seekers will be given approximately 15 minutes (subject to change depending on participant count) to find as many critters as they can. If all hiders are found, the seekers win. If seekers fail to find all the hiders, whoever was not found wins.
Two rounds may be allowed so that seekers may also have a chance to be hiders.
You will not be able to hide in the trees (specifically the tree tiles), nor in clearings deeper than a single tree's climb to access. Burrows are off-limits.
Spell anchors may be needed to alert hiders that time is up and they can come out of hiding! Blue mages, see below*!
๐ณ Climber's Race - Climb through the trees the fastest to the designated point to win!
Participants will be tasked with climbing through the trees of Bigrock, starting from the beach and ending in the tree clearing. Whoever climbs through first and stands in front of the critter positioned at the finish line wins.
โ๏ธ Tic-Tac-Toe - Just for fun, a tic-tac-toe "board" will be available!
A 3x3 area will be sectioned off for critters to play tic-tac-toe. This activity isn't judged and will be available to play through the event. Be sure to take turns and share!
---๐ฏ๏ธ Lighting of Candles ๐ฏ๏ธ---
Near the ending of the event at nightfall, critters will be able to pick a candle and set it next to the water. Critters are encouraged to make a wish or say a prayer, then light the candle to represent that wish or prayer.
Participants may collect their candle at the end of the event and are encouraged to keep it lit to represent keeping their wish burning bright!
๐ What will be needed? ๐
๐ก๏ธ Guards - Armed critters capable of combat will be hired to maintain peace. Though parlay will be invoked for the event so all may come together and enjoy the festivities, the safety is requested for vendors who will have items for sale should anyone try to stir trouble.
๐ฎ *Blue Mage - For the hide n' seek event. Hiders will be given spell anchors. A head count will be made after the seeking time is up, and anyone not accounted for will need to be alerted that they can come out of hiding or stop seeking. A simple wind whisper of, "Time's up!" will suffice.
๐ Assistant Organizers - Critters tasked with helping keep everything in order. Assistants will help with the games by keeping track of scores and winners, and standing place at the race's end point. Assistants will also help hand out food.

๐ * Signup sheets for guards and assistant organizers will be in the Commerce Guild in-game within the next few days, but you can comment here as well.
๐ * An interest check sheet will be available for vendors, as well as all of the judged games in order to estimate how many items and how much space will be needed. Commenting here also helps!
๐ * Donations for food, drink, and materials will be greatly appreciated. Prismatic crystals will be needed for the charging contest, and spell anchors will be needed for hide n' seek participants. Ungrouped candles (as in the single candles, not in a bundle of two or three) will be needed in any and all colors for the candle lighting event. Donations can be left in the copper deposit box outside the guild.
๐ * Display cases, while not required, would make vending feel significantly more secure! Donations of any display cases, or allowing Sebastian to borrow display cases, would be appreciated. Alternatively, arrangements to purchase multiple display cases can be made with any woodworkers.
