Here is today's teaser! The new client is successfully loading zones and handling LOS and movement. It's not communicating with the server for anything yet, but we can move around the maps freely, and you may notice another new feature of this client: the transition between zones is now completely seamless. That's right: no more being flung across the map when you hit the map edge, because there are no more map edges. You may also notice the shadows look a little different; this is playing around with a tileset that Pica made some time ago to replace the black squares. It isn't quite finished; as you can see it currently reveals parts of tiles that should be completely in shadow, and we'd have to figure out more complex light interactions before we committed to using it. But it does look quite nice!
