I dragged a stack of pestled herb bowls onto a barrel installed in a burrow, which was half-full of drink. This deleted the whole barrel and one bowl from my stack.

Barrel came back after a server restart, so I tried adding a pestled herb to it again. Deleted the barrel again. So, confirmed!
