"Rye's" rantings

In a barely lit room, you notice something odd. Along the walls, a journal of sorts covers them from wall to wall in neat Scurric.

Ah. Well this is...honestly exhausting. This island I got shipwrecked on is...strange. Critters here speak a language I've never heard, follow these...dragons? Anyways, not my problem right now. I've learned some magic which is...good. Orange seems harder than yellow, but it seems capable enough for my plans.

Lots of quartz here is...a double edged sword. Lots of mages and lots of quartz to learn with, but not many books it seems. London, the critter who's place I'm staying at gave me a key. I put my actual name on it, so hopefully a critter doesn't pocket it off of me. Going by "Rye" is...much easier to say, not to mention probably better if someone decides to look for me eventually.

Harris seems...oddly interested in the gods compared to...a priest? Anyways, I wish I had paper to write on. Also London, not sure if you can read, but if you can and are reading this...I'm not insane. I just don't have paper or a pen. If anyone else is reading this...why are you in my room? Anyways, food is..nice but I'm trying my best to only rely on my yellow magic since I don't think I can afford anything. Apparently Quarrel wants whatever a drake is for a book? Why?

That was....a disappointment. From myself, to myself....turns out you don't want to mess with 10+ charge fault lines. HORRIBLE DECISION. I met critters of the Oak Grove Society Free Republic. From what I can tell it's mostly Caesar and Fabula at the moment. Teemu might join? I gave Cher a good shove after testing lighting bolt on Harris. (I also tested other spells but they're so inconvenient when they backfire)

Caesar seems good enough if I do decide to go into their mini-society. Fabula healed me of...burns I got from realizing why I should make that rule. Cher is mischievous and "controversial" or just an odd critter, but I let myself slip around that weasel and I don't mind. It wasn't that bad or anything, we just talked. I have plans, but those will at least take until I can use clears...

I got my yellow magic to the point where it's likely good...I don't really need anything more than a shard. (Thank you Fabula, if you ever read this by the way) The oath seems fine enough...being a "battle-mage" sounds pretty good. The guild has cloudeds which can be used by everyone...I got one up to a good charge...I will need to move up eventually however.

Anyways, collecting information like who dislikes or likes who will be useful...also London has paper...not sure if I'm allowed to use it for journaling however, so I won't take it for the moment.
