We're getting back into the swing of updates! We've got some juicy, tasty stuff in the pipeline that we think you're all really going to love, but to start out, we've got a minor new content addition and a bunch of bugfixes!

  • Added 80 new symbols to the game, based on what we felt was missing and people's requests in the past when we mentioned doing this. We focused primarily on useful things for faction representation and shop signage, so there's anvils, potions, needles and thread, bows and arrows, coin piles, etc. in addition to lots of new heraldry beasts, arrows pointing in cardinal directions, and some stuff that might be useful for marking storage areas, like logs. We also added some missing herbs and depictions of all the Imperial gods.
  • This brings us up to 142 symbols total, so the symbol menu would have gotten pretty unwieldy if we didn't make some improvements to it! Now, symbols are split up into category menus you can traverse back and forth between. This helps you get to what you're looking for much faster and browse more effectively. Fun fact: given there's 35 dye colors currently, and 142 symbols, there are 173,950 possible tabard heraldries (and 175,175 tapestry stylings, since there's an abstract pattern option) available in the game. That should mean no two factions will ever have to share a coat of arms.

  • Blind characters can no longer notice Thumping, since it isn't morse code and requires you to interpret a person's movements in order to determine meaning. I toyed with having Thumping still show up, but always be completely scrambled, but that's probably too much effort for what's effectively an easter egg. They can still send messages in Thumping, however.
  • Forged items can now be customized at any time before they are quenched or cool off, rather than losing the ability to customize an item if not done immediately upon crafting it.
  • Spell anchors are now sorted alphabetically in the list.
  • Fixed Deaf characters being able to hear sounds after waking up if they're a Heavy Sleeper.
  • Fixed not being able to remove undyed cushions from stools.
  • Fixed not being able to dye cushions while they are attached to the stool.
  • Fixed book spawns rendering behind the library bed nooks so they could not be seen when spotted.
  • Fixed the library bed nooks not having descriptions.
  • Fixed crashes on viewing tabards and display cases, and with certain symbols in particular (ones that began with the "an" article).
  • Fixed Stoneworking skill books lacking a description.
  • Fixed crafting stamps with a character's likeness using up twice the listed amount of materials.
  • Fixed being able to start a mentorship in a skill you can't learn, either because it's restricted for you or because you're beyond mentorship by them in it.
  • Fixed the description for a cooking cheese sandwich describing it as a patty.
  • Fixed Heavy Sleepers being able to think while asleep (or otherwise downed).
  • Fixed emptying a container full of liquid not removing the weight from your inventory.
  • Fixed skins for spearheads and axeheads not applying on craft.

  • Fixed axehead and spearhead skin selection showing an extra option.
  • Fixed issues with the size of the description field when customizing items.
  • Fixed a bug which caused items with sufficiently low damage (like tin daggers) to have no durability.
  • Fixed an exploit whereby Rheumatic characters could sort-of run without taking damage by spamming the button.
  • Moving across countertops or climbing between maps no longer damages Rheumatic characters.
  • Fixed being able to charge a channeled crystal without knowing the color.
  • Fixed not being able to Extend the Nurture spell on planter boxes.
  • Fixed not being able to put more than one bowl into a sack if you've previously emptied it of a different kind of powder.
