Over the last few days (I'm aware I utterly failed at daily updates, here, but we'll just go ahead and try to get back on the horse) I implemented all of the soap versions of herb effects. Some of them work a little differently when drugged via soap rather than via direct ingestion; obviously, all of them are much longer lasting and have weaker effects than vial versions, but a few of them have modified implementations for balance reasons. Many of them will likely get tweaked as the system is tested. But all of them are now implemented.
I am still waiting for some of the sprites from Pica to finish up the systems. Today I implemented an overlay for bubbles in the bathtub after you soap yourself up, which also serves the function of indicating if someone's used the water you're bathing in already. Pica requested that this include an overlay that goes over the character who is in the bath, so I implemented a system for items to "lend" some of their overlays to the player to properly overlap their sprite, and then give them back when they should no longer be overlapping. This will also likely be used to re-implement the feature I showed off last year where you can place dolls on a bed as decoration, so it's worthwhile.
I need some herb sprites from Pica to finish implementing the diseases, but I'm willing to call soap and bathing "done" here. There are a few systems that will be reliant on the new cooking mechanics and items, like making the actual soap and heating up the water to take a bath, and the dye colors for soap are dependent on the new dyeing mechanics, so I'll come back and clean up those loose ends then. But it's basically functional and everything I need for diseases is ready, so let's move on to that!
