This might seem like a weird request, but the current font is a little hard for me to read and it reminded me I've heard there's some fonts that help people with dyslexia. It would be great to have one of those as an optional font in game

We can definitely look into some more free font options and add them to the accessibility menu. Do you have any recommendations for dyslexic-friendly fonts especially which fit the pixelated style of the game? We are currently using Lucida Sans for most things and some Calibri Bold.
I've been looking for fonts and I think that "Lexend/Lexend deca" are good options, Lexend was made with the intention to improve reading proficiency, it also prevents an issue I've seen with the current font, which is that some letters seem to "fuse" for example the "r" and "n" look like "m". Unfortunately, I think it doesn't have official Italics.
There's also "IBM Courier" and "Courier Prime" this two are serif fonts, which can be easier to read for some people (though harder for others) since the current fonts are sans serif it would be nice to have a serif option for those that find them more comfortable
(All of the fonts I've mentioned are free for commercial to use.)
This are some the options I thought would fit the game, but there's many other options. Lastly, thanks for considering adding more font options, and if other users want to share their thoughts that would really help.
We're not a commercial product, we don't receive any money for Farwoods. I'll check these out.
And yeah, Godot is worse about the ligatures than Game Maker was because GM used sprite fonts, whereas Godot is using actual font rendering. That's why you can highlight and copy and paste now, but it means OpenType sometimes fuses the letters into a ligature or offsets letters weirdly and it looks bad. It wasn't a high priority for me to fix at the time but I'll return to it eventually.
