Stepped on some caltrops and the item vanished as it normally would when stepped on. However, after stepping away and back on the spot, the stun effect and sound effect happened again as if the caltrops were still there. There doesn't seem to be a limit to the amount of times this can be done, and relogging didn't fix the now-ghost caltrops.
