  • New Green Magic spell: Wildtouch.
  • New Red Magic spell: Explosive Runes.
  • New Gray Magic spell: Swift Strike.
  • New Gray Magic spell: Timewalk.
  • New Orange Magic spell: Fault Line.
  • The Empower spell has been moved to Red Magic and further reworked.
  • Jewelry no longer starts out with any bonuses until it is Empowered, and its empowerment duration lasts much longer. Jewelry now drains power at all times after it is first worn, not just when it is actively worn. The power tiers have also been reworked; brilliant gem jewelry, regardless of material, will always be better than non-brilliant, average always better than cracked, etc. Cracked jewelry covers +1-+3, average +4-+6, and brilliant +7-+9.
  • The major appeal of the metal chosen for a gem is now how long it stays empowered. All jewelry of the same metal last for the same base time, regardless of gem quality, but might still stay empowered longer because of the bonus duration you get for using a higher-charge crystal than necessary (so in practice, lower-quality gems will stay empowered for longer).
  • When the gem's empowerment duration runs out, you can attempt to re-Empower it. Fully empowered jewelry will lose a quality level when re-Empowered; Brilliant jewelry will become Average, Average will become Cracked, and Cracked will be destroyed, returning the underlying jewelry. Jewelry that was insufficiently empowered to reach its maximum stat bonus will have a chance to retain its quality level, heavily influenced by how far beneath its maximum bonus it was empowered at.

  • Jewelry on your person will not lose empowerment while you are logged out. If you were the last person to wear a piece of jewelry, and you store it in a jewelry box in the world, it will not lose empowerment while you are logged out. This should provide enough lenience (including to Nomad characters) that if you come back from a break, all of your jewelry will be in the same state, unless someone else used it.
  • In summary: there's no point to not wearing your jewelry at all times now. It takes much longer to wear out now, but it will eventually whether you wear it or not. You are incentivized to use the best crystals you can to Empower things, but if you can't, then your consolation is a chance not to degrade your jewelry when you re-empower it.
  • All existing jewelry with any remaining level of empowerment has been empowered to its maximum as a courtesy.
  • Crit failing a red magic spell no longer deletes equipment, but merely damages it.
  • The Haste spell now also allows you to run further before running out of stamina, so you can make better use of the extra speed.
  • Added a Detection check to Disguise, Impersonation, and Hiding that can tell you if you're made by someone.
