September Round-Up

September 3rd, 2026

Hello again everyone! It's been just over two weeks since the game launched (I forgot to make this post yesterday) and we are now in the month of September! This happens to coincidence with the game's calendar shifting into autumn; the month of Harvest began a few days ago. Here's this month's in-game holidays:

Festival of Rebirth: 1 Moonbite - 7 Moonbite (Sep 28 2pm EST - Sep 29 8pm EST)

We just missed this year's Breadbreaking, which ran from the 27th of Berryripe to the 4th of Harvest. But I wasn't posting these round-ups yet in August! Though I'm sure you all were busy anyway exploring the new mechanics, and also I haven't gotten around to distributing the planners that explain how to celebrate them anyway. That will happen soon!

This is the Year of the Mantis, so there will be no Threshold or Requiem until the Year of the Ram next year. Believe it or not, the year 139 will be ending this month! This is just a normal Festival, nothing fancy, so don't feel like you need to put together a big celebration for it. This is just an opportunity for your characters to reflect on the turnover of the year and contemplate the Ram. Ram critters rise up! This is going to be your year!

A Pirate Never Forgets

The main noteworthy occurrence in September will be the new event, A Pirate Never Forgets, kicking off on September 12th. We had to move the event start date back a week to give ourselves more time to make the game stable so it feels fair and responsive to play during the event. We don't want bugs to interfere with crucial story moments or change the course of events, so we're going to try to squash all the bugs we can find this week and devote next week to preparing for the event. I'll be going through the applications and creating characters for them after the weekend.

Don't forget, if you're interested in playing an event character, sign up for the event before it starts on the 12th. This is a great way for new players to get some hands-on guidance and experience with the game, since the GM (me) will be providing direction and helping you play your character. We want to have a good number of combat characters so not everyone has to play every weekend for them to be able to roam the map and pose a plausible threat to established characters.

Velyra's Blessings

I previously announced on the Discord that anyone who received a blessing from Velyra from August 22nd to Sep 5th would receive a free cookbook with 10 random recipes in it. Because of the bugs with candlemaking and people's inexperience with the new dyemaking system, people haven't had a fair ability to fulfill the enshrinement tenet of Pantheonic worship, since it requires specifically dyed candles.

Because of this, I'll be extending the cutoff to Sep 19th. If you are able to attract Velyra's attention before that date, you'll get the cookbook! Cooking skill not required. Feel free to give it away or sell the recipes or whatever. Velyra is just trying to reward you for your loyal worship by filling your head with cool ideas for pastries. You can always get someone else to cook them for you!

Bug Reporting

As always, if you notice any bugs or anything you suspect is not behaving as it should be, and you're able to replicate it on demand, please make a thread for it on the forums with information on how to make it happen. I go down this list of threads when I have free time to fix things, so if you want to make sure it gets fixed, post it there.

That's it from me for now! Have fun!
