Today, I shattered my yellow quartz silver amulet. It is a sad day. But, while I was grieving, I noticed that the amulet did not stack, and did not actually lose its description of having a quartz inset in it.
It also says that it still has the ability to be charged.
Apart from that, I think if I were to try and charge this, it might just vanish the item from my inventory, which happened the last time I tried to charge an un-channeled quartz jewelry.

I empowered my cracked silver opal amulet several times, and it said quite blatantly that the gem shatters. However, it didn't, and I kept empowering it until it worked. Trimmed log. Please do not destroy my opal.
