Trying to learn orange magic at my current skill level (~22) with a cloudy gives me the message "This doesn't feel challenging enough to learn from," and does not decrement my "need to practice x more times" counter. Stepping down to a shard does not give the challenging message, but still does not decrement said counter. Learning from shards with blue magic, but casting from a cloudy, triggers the "not challenging enough" message and does not decrement the practice counter.
